McDONALD, MacDONALD, WILLISCRAFT (3 Jun 2007)
I'm looking for the MacDONALD/McDONALD family, Knox Co. The family
moved their, after 1873, and remained until at least 1906. They
lived in Bazile Mills, Creighton, and Center. Duncan McDONALD, was
born about 1827, Scotland, moved to Ontario, Canada, where he met
and married Mary Ann WILLISCRAFT, in 1858. Two of their Children,
Angus and Alexander, were both born in Canada, the family then went
to Pennsylvania, where William was born, and then to Nebraska, first
settling in Pierce Co. where Duncan, and Mary were born. It is not
sure when they went to Knox Co. but three more children were born to
the couple. Archibald, Ann, and John. The children were born between
1860, and 1879. The only birth dates that I have are Mary McDONALD,
born May 20th 1873, Pierce, Pierce Co. NE. and John Williscraft
McDONALD, born November 11, 1879, in Bazile Mills, Knox Co. NE. Mary
married Levi TAYLOR, on Sept. 26, 1892, in Niobrara, Knox Co., NE.
John married Lena PULSE, on Dec. 17, 1906, in Center, Knox Co., Both
of these families had children, and moved to Montana. Duncan and
Mary Ann, are both buried in Cedar Hills Cemetery, in Creighton, NE.
