ZAIS, SIMPSON, BUTTE, KAMMER
I recently sent for my grandmother's brother's marriage
record.
George F. ZAIS of Niobrara, Neb. married Caroline
SIMPSON of Niobrara, Neb. on Dec. 3, 1913 in Omaha, Neb.
She is listed as born in Wisconsin, 23 yrs. old; parents
were John and Sarah (Butte) SIMPSON. His parents were
Charles G. and Louisa (Kammer) ZAIS; George was born in
Neb. in 1892. There are SIMPSONS buried at the L'Eau Qui
Court Cemetery at Niobara. At the top of a postcard sent
to my grandmother with the wedding picture of George and
Caroline written in my grandmother's handwriting is the
words, "burim to dead Jan. 26, 1915". I wrote to the
Niobrara Town Hall a few years ago, concerning fires,
but was informed that there no fires in Niobrara on that
date.
Any information on any members of this family would be
greatly appreciated.
