SCHERMERHORN  (08 Jan 2009)

I am trying to locate information on Susan the wife of Edwin H. SCHERMERHORN (born 1817 Newtown, Buck’s Co, PA-died Feb. 12, 1873 and buried Union Mills, Fulton, NY. According to federal censuses, Susan was born in Vermont in June 1825.

The last citation I can find on her is the 1900 Federal census, Columbia, Knox, Nebraska (ancestry Roll T623_932; page 14A

At that time she is cited as a widow living with her son Charles SCHERMERHORN (1850-1934), daughter-in-law Charlotte and granddaughter Edna.

As Charles and family are cited as residing in California in 1910, I am assuming that Susan had died in Nebraska.

Do you have a death record of Susan or can you advise me where she might be buried? I am especially interested to learn what her maiden name was and where and when she married Edwin.

Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated and fully credited.

Thanks You,
Deborah M. Child
