ZURCHER, HUSER (20 Jan 2010)
I am looking for information on any member of the ZURCHER family
that might be related to Joakim George and Ursula (HUSER) ZURCHER
who originally came to the US in 1864 from Baden, Germany. Their
family consisted of Jacob (maybe), and for sure, William, Ursula,
Catherine, Gottlieb, and Magdalena. Another child died on the trip
over. They originally settled in the Farmersburg Iowa area. Their
son William later moved to the Red Oak area of Iowa, and later moved
to Sheridan Co, in northwest Nebraska. William was my great
grandfather.
Specifically, I am trying to confirm that Jacob was a son of Joakim
and Ursula, but if any of the ZURCHER's in Knox Co. are related, any
information would be greatly appreciated.
