BENGTSON/FALK

I am interested in learning more about the history of a good friend of my grandmother. My grandmother was Tillie Londberg Shalander. The Shalanders and Londbergs were early settlers in the Wausa and Bristow areas.

In the early 1900s my grandmother’s good friend (as evident from postcards) was Nelly from Wausa. I believe it was Nelly Bengtson (Born Jan. 1888 – Page County Iowa.) Nelly’s mother was likely Hanna Sophia Falk (Born 1855 in Sweden). Her father was likely John Bengtson (Born 1855 in Sweden).

Here is a photo of Nelly and her sister Esther from a 1909 postcard from Nelly to my grandmother.

I would love to get confirmation that the photograph was the Bengston girls. I would also love to know more about Hanna Falk and John Bengtson. They lived in the same township as relatives of mine (other side of the tree) in Page County, Iowa before moving to Wausa. Nelly was born in Page County, Iowa. Hannah and John Bengtson lived In Bristow in 1900 before moving to Wausa. I believe John Bengtson died sometime between 1900 and 1910.

Thanks
