Funeral Services For Mrs. Lindblad

Funeral services for the late Mrs. S. J. Lindblad, who passed away at her home in the north part of town on Sunday morning, January 26th, was conducted from the Thabor Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon, Febr. 2nd, Pastor J. S Swenson, pastor of the church officiating, bringing an inspiring message. Special music was furnished by a ladies trio, composed of Mrs. C. A. Anderson, Mrs. Albert Anderson and Mrs. Cecillia Erickson. Internment was made in the family burial lot in the Woodlawn cemetery.

Ida Carolina Anderson Lindblad was born in Gälaröd, Smalan, Sweden, Feb. 3, 1866. In 1888 she came to America and made her first home in LaPorte, Ind. On June 27, 1839 she was married to S. J. Lindblad. To this union ten children were born. In 1895 the family moved to Wausa, Neb. and later to Miller, So. Dak. However, since 1912 the Lindblads have lived near or in the village of Wausa. Mrs. Lindblad was left a widow when her husband passed away September 1, 1934. After a severe illness, she was called from this life on Sunday, Jan. 26th. She had attained the age of 80 years, 11 months and 23 days.

She leaves to mourne her passing eight children: Anna (Mrs. Edwin Johnson, Lyons, Neb.), Della (Mrs. David Mord, Orient, S. D.) Galen (Mrs. Lester Greeno, Magnet, Neb.), Leona (Mrs. Leo Fredricks, Randolph, Neb.), Seth, Oakland, Neb., and John, Bert and Earl of Wausa. Two children have preceded her in death.. Also surviving her are 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one brother C. Victor Anderson of Wausa.

During her recent illness, we frequently heard Mrs. Lindblad pray to be released from her suffering. She had a firm faith in her Lord, and her prayers were heard. May this God of all comfort and peace bring assurance and hope to all who sorrow."

A gift of $15.00 was contributed to Immanuel Old Peoples' Home in Omaha, in memory of Mrs. Lindblad by close friends.
