Swan & Ida Lindblad Family History:

Swan John Lindblad was born in Kronberga Ian, Smaland, Sweden on March 10th, 1860.

He came to America with his parents, one sister Mary and one brother George in 1868.

They settled near Laporte, Indiana, Swans father was Andrew Anderson, Andrew changed his name to Andrew Lindblad when he arrived in America.

Ida Christina (Anderson) Lindblad was born in Gallardyd Parish, Kronberga Ian, Smaland, Sweden, Feb 3, 1866, she came to America in 1888 and resided in Indiana. She had a brother Carl Victor and a sister Sare Sophia, they came to America in 1903 and lived in Wausa, Nebraska. Carl Victor was a carpenter, he built the house that Dr John Blankenship lived in.

Swan & Ida Lindblad were married, April 5, 1889.

They lived at Laporte. Indiana, they had ten children.

Two daughters, Anna Christina and Effie Agnes were born while they lived at Laporte, Indiana. In 1892 the Lindblad family moved to Wausa, Nebraska.

Bert Andrew was born at Wausa, Nebraska, in 1894 they returned to Laporte, Indiana, Della May, Carl Alfred and John Edward were born in Laporte, Indiana.

In 1900 they returned to Wausa, Nebraska.

Seth Roosevelt, Gailen Marie and Earl Emmanuel were born in Wausa, NB. They moved to Gann Valley, SD in 1907 a daughter Leona was born, while in South Dakota.

In 1912, they returned to Wausa, Nebraska they remained there the rest of their lives a farmer until they moved to town, he did road works for the county.

Anna Christina married Edwin Johnson and they lived in Lyons, Nebraska.

Effie Agnes married Ed Fager and lived in Wausa, Nebraska, Bert Andrew married Elsie Lofren and they also lived in Wausa.

Della May married David Mord and they lived in Orient, SD.
 
Carl Alfred passed away at the age of 26 yrs old.

John Edward married Mable Norman and they lived in the Wausa area.

Seth married Ruth Dunkal and lived in Lyons, Nebraska.

Gailen Marie married Lester Greeno and they lived at Magnet, Nebraska.
 
Earl Emanuel never married.

Leona married Lee Fredrick and they lived in Sholes, Nebraska.
