STEPANEK,
STEPANECK, STARTZER
Does anyone have the book: History of Czechs in Nebraska by Rose
Rosicky? An index I've seen states there are STEPANEKs (STEPANECKs)
listed there in Knox County. They are: Aloisie (Mrs. Frank HRDY) pg.
123; Anton pg 249; Frank pg 89, 382, 400; Orin pg 428, 458; S.J. pg
378 and Vaclav pg 178, 177. I am searching for information on Joseph
STEPANECK who married Emma STARTZER and I believe lived in the area
of Niobrara and/or Verdigre. They were my great grandparents and I
thought maybe reading about the listed STEPANEKs could give me a
lead to find information to locate them. Joseph was born possibly in
Bohemia in 1848. He had a son Frank, so if I could just find out
more about the Frank listed, it might help (it might be a brother of
my Joseph).
