CARL WILHELM BLOCK

Carl Block, who was born in Rackow, Germany, was a farmer who married Dorothea Starken. Carl Wilhelm Block was born to them on March 24, 1820, and baptized March 30, 1820.

Michael Polzin, also known as Richard, was disabled. He married Maria Zastrow and a child, Friederika Wilhelmine Polzin, was born to them. Her birth date is September 20, 1819, and the place was in Saatzig, Germany.

Carl Wilhelm Block, laborer, and Friederika Wilhelmine Polzin (marriage certificate lists her name as Auguste Wilhelmine Polzin) were married November 27, 1845, in Noeblin, Germany. The village where they lived is listed as Framwalde Village, Pomerania, Germany. Six children were born to Carl and Wilhelmina (better known as William and Golzine or Minnie Block): August Block, April 5, 1846 - September 3, 1909; Wilhelmine Friederike Luise (Louise) Block, born December 30, 1852, in Noeblin, Germany; Ernestina (Tina) Block (Mrs. John Boelter), born in 1856; William Block, born Mary 21, 1857, in Framwalde, Pomerania, Germany, and died May 24, 1916; Herman Block, born February 18, 1861; Emelia Johanna Willemina Block DeVries, born December 3, 1963, in Noeblin, Germany.

Carl Wilhelm Block died April 7, 1883, at the age of 62 years and 8 months in Karkow, Germany. Friederika Wilhelmine Block died April 12, 1869, in Noeblin, Germany. She is buried in the cemetery there.

Of the six children born to William and Golzine Block, one remained in Germany - Wilhelmine Friederike Luise Block.
