FRANK AND FRANCES [KUBISTA] FRANK

Frank Frank was the third child born to Frantisek and Anna Busek Frank on October 13, 1866, in the village of Jilov, county of Klatovy, Czechoslovakia. He came to this country at the age of 17 with his family. They lived seven years in Saunders County, Nebraska, and eight years in Box Butte County before settling at Pierce.

It was at Pierce on July 27, 1898, that he married Frances Kubista and in 1904 the family moved to the Pleasant Valley neighborhood of Verdigre. They lived just south of the six-mile corner on the west side of the road. The farm buildings are still there but the present house was moved in. They were the parents of 16 children, one of whom was stillborn in 1905.

Ann(a) was born in 1899 and died in 1979. She married Charles Ballard and they had two children, Dorothy and Donald.

Frank, Jr., was born in 1900 and died in 1972. He married Irene Wilhelm Van Buren.

Mary was born in 1901 and died in 1943. She married Steve Belohlavy and they had three sons: Victor, Jerry, and Steve, Jr. They lost two daughters.

Pauline was born in 1903. She married Harry Taylor and after his death she married his brother Bert Taylor.

Lewis was born in 1906 and died in 1984. He married Laura Sukup in a double wedding with his sister Helen and her brother Laurence at St. Wenceslaus Church, Verdigre, on June 4, 1929. Lewis and Laura had two sons, Vernon and Lester.

Rose was born in 1907 and married George Tomasek. They have three children: Marcella, Arnold, and Arlene.

George was born in 1901 and died in 1948. He married Orlene Ballard and they had one son Gary.

Helen was born in 1911 and married Laurence Sukup. They have three children; Shirley, Darlene, and Dale.

John was born in 1912 and died in 1940. Edward was born in 1915 and died in 1938. Neither was married.

Clara was born in 1916. She married John Ballard and after his death she married Elmer Beatty.

Frances was born in 1918 and died in 1941. She married Laurance Schwanke and they had one son Dean who died at the age of three, two months after his mother.

Adeline was born in living. She married Paul Zakrzewski in 1937. She died in 1940, just two days before her brother John.

Henry was born in living and he married Eva Salmons.

Lorene was born in living and she married Cleo Sucha. They are the parents of five children: Beverly, Martin (deceased), Tommy, Frankie, and Barbara.

Frank Frank died January 5, 1936. His wife died September 7, 1957. They are buried at the Bohemian National Cemetery, Jelen, near their children: Mary, Edward, John, and George.
