THEODORE AND HILDA [CIHLAR] KINNISON

Theodore I. Kinnison was born July 11, 1908, at Bennet, Nebraska, to John and Mary Kinnison. He had four brothers and one sister. In December of 1928 he married Hilda Cihlar at Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a daughter of Vincent and Christina (Pavlik) Cihlar of Verdigre and was born July 5, 1907. They moved to a farm south of O’Neill, Nebraska, where their son Floyd was born in living. Donald, another son, was born in living. They moved to the Walnut area in 1933 and purchased a farm in 1943 on which their son Floyd now lives. Theodore and Hilda retired to Verdigre in 1974.

Floyd Kinnison married Lorene Block, daughter of August and Bessie Block, in 1951. They have four children: Michael, Vickie, Paul, and Elizabeth.

Michael, who was born in living, has been serving in the U. S. Army in army aviation since 1970. He is now in Fulda, Germany. Michael married Sandra Howes of Savannah, Georgia, and they have two children, Tommy and David.

Vickie, born n living, married Kenneth Alder, son of Harold and Marce (Chocholousek) Alder. They live in Battle Creek with their three children: Kristine, Bryan, and Steven.

Paul was born in living and married Jean Sucha, daughter of Ed and Evelyn Sucha. They live west of Verdigre and have two children, Jennifer and Jon.

Elizabeth, born in living, married Tim Maly, son of Jim and Janice (Hoffmann) Maly. They live in Verdigre with their two children, Brandon and Andrea.

Donald Kinnison, youngest son of Theodore and Hilda Kinnison, served three years in the army and married Berta Machtel in Heidelberg, Germany. They farm in the Walnut area and have five children: Jeff, Daniel, Theodore, Linda, and Leah.

Jeff was born in 1953 and served in the army for 12 years. He married Alyce Skalicky, daughter of Ray and Helen Skalicky. They live southwest of Verdigre and have one child, Joshua.

Daniel was born in 1955 and served three years in the army. He married Julie Katherine of Omaha. They live in O’Neill and have one child, Derek.

Theodore, born in 1956, married Shirley Mott, daughter of James and Elaine (Block) Mott. They reside in Wisner with their son, Daren.

Linda was born in 1959 and lives in Grand Island.

Leah, born in 1961, married Dan Faltin of Lincoln and they live in Grand Island.
