KENNETH AND DEBBIE [DVORAK] KUCERA
Kenneth James Kucera was born living, at the Plainview
hospital at Plainview, Nebraska, to Clarence and Evelyn (Kves)
Kucera. He attended Pleasant Valley School District 47 through the
eighth grade and then attended high school in Verdigre, Nebraska,
graduating in 1968. Ken graduated from Norfolk Junior College in
1970 and was drafted into the U. S. Army in July of 1970. He served
18 months, 14 of those in Vietnam.
On July 24, 1976, Ken was united in marriage to Debra Jo Dvorak at
St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Verdigre, Nebraska. She was born
living, at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton,
Nebraska, to Otto and Florence (Sonder) Dvorak. Deb attended the
Verdigre Public School and graduated in 1973. She and her twin
sister Vickie (Sehi) sang in their father’s band for three years,
beginning in 1969. Following graduation, she was employed at the
American National Bank in Creighton, Nebraska, until May of 1979.

In January of 1979 they purchased a farm eight miles south-west of
Verdigre where they presently live. They have three children: Andrea
Lynn, born living; Michael James, born living; and
Amy Corrin, born living.
