SAMUEL P. AND CAROL [BARNES] SUKUP

Samuel Paul Sukup, son of Paul and Marcella Kotrous Sukup, was born living, at Plainview, Nebraska. He received his elementary education in District 26 and attended high school at Verdigre Public School, graduating in 1967. He then joined the National Guard, taking basic training at Fort Ord, California.

He married Carol Barnes at Verdigre, Nebraska, on July 29, 1972. They moved to Verdigre where he had employment in construction. They are the parents of three children: Allison Jean, born living; Sara Jane, born living, and Kyle Adam, born living.

In 1980 Samuel joined his father in farming and raising Polled Hereford registered cattle which he enjoys. He is the fourth generation to be associated with what his great-grandfather began. He loves the outdoors and is a great sportsman.
