MARLIN E. TUSHA FAMILY

Marlin E. Tusha, Edward and Rose’s only child, was born living. He married Donna Brookhouser, daughter of Ralph and Rose Brookhouser of Verdigre, Nebraska, on January 3, 1951. Their children are: Genille (McDyre) of Perryville, Maryland, who has a son Simon; Russell, living with his parents in Florida, and Kenneth, Verdigre, Nebraska, who has a son Brendan.

Marlin, who has been a pilot with Pan American Airlines since his stint in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, has maintained property interests in Nebraska and the Verdigre area.

Dr. Kenneth R. Tusha, Marlin’s youngest son, was born living. Married to Mary Keenan of Council Bluffs, Iowa, on October 27, 1984, he is now a dentist in Verdigre. Their son, Brendan James, was born living.

Thus, the Tusha family heritage in the Verdigre community began in 1879, before the incorporation of Verdigre as a municipality and continues into its sixth generation in Verdigre’s centennial year of 1987.
