Funeral for Fred Guenther today. Was a resident here thirty years died at home of a son on Tuesday.
Funeral services for Fred Guenther 79 were conducted from St. Rose Church here at 9:30 a. m. today, June 19, with the Rev. W.A. Cappius officiating and interment in the parish cemetery. He was a resident of this community for 30 years.
Mr. Guenther died at about 5 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of his son, Fred Junior, North of Crofton, following an illness of over a year. He had a paralytic stroke about a year ago and has been bedfast most of the time since.
Eight sons survive him, Ferdinand, Casper, Henry, Joe, Herman and Fred, all in the Crofton community and Conrad and A.F. who live in California, having moved there the past year.
His wife and one son, Charles, who was a World war veteran, preceded him in death.
