DARLING, WALSH, WEBB (26 Feb 2000)
Seeking information regarding Mercy Ann (DARLING-WEBB) WALSH and
husband Joshua Butler WALSH who resided at Millsborough (believed to
be Millerborough/Millerboro), Knox Co., NE. They married at Little
McKinney, Collin Co, TX about 1864/65. They removed to her home of
Fairview, Jones Co., IA shortly after marriage. They settled there
until the 1880's when they moved to Knox Co., NE. Joshua Butler
WALSH died about 1890 at Millerborough and is buried there (I cannot
locate his burial place), and Mercy Ann (AKA: Ann) died about
1913-1918 at the age of 82 years (she was born in 1837 - so it would
be closer to 1918/19) and is said to have been buried at Creighton,
Knox Co., NE at the Municipal Cemetery. I tried to locate her burial
record there but was not able to locate her record of burial. He son
from her first marriage to Abner WEBB: Jesse WEBB b. abt 1860/61;
From her marriage to Joshua Butler WALSH: Frank WALSH b. abt 1865,
Emma WALSH b. abt 1869, Kittie May (AKA: Catherine May, Mary K.,
Mary Katherine, Muzzie) b. abt 1874, John WALSH b. after 1874
sometime; all born in Fairview, Jones Co., IA. There is a Jess D.
WEBB who is buried at Winnetoon Cemetery, Knox Co., NE b. 1860 d.
1935. This may be my ancestor Jesse WEBB b. 1860/61. Any information
regarding the WALSH, WEBB and DARLING families located in Knox Co.,
NE will be greatly appreciated.
