ABRAMS, ABRAHAMS, PROSSER, HUNT (17 Apr 2003)
Looking for family of Theren & Mary ABRAMS ~ Born Dec.1845, the son
of Thomas & Maria {Mattice} ABRAMS (ABRAHAMS) was raised in Ulster &
Greene Co's. 1864 enlisted with the NY 15th Engineers, Company E.
1865 discharged @ Ft. Berry, Va.. Moved back to Greene Co. &
married; 1868 in Norton Hill, NY, to Mary E. PROSSER born April
1845, daughter to John & Ruth (HUNT) PROSSER. Raised 4 children
Addison 1869, Hattie 1871, George 1875, Charles 1879. Moved to
Colorado late 1870's, then to Knox, Nebraska, 1880 as a farmer.
(Hattie not shown in 1880's Knox, Neb. census). 1911 (+/- 2 yrs),
illness strikes Theren. He is admitted and later dies in N.W.
National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, Leavenworth, Kansas.
Mary moves to Otterville, Cooper Co. Missouri. She dies Feb. 1917.
