LAVELLE, MITCHELL, TRUDELL
I have submitted a query before about some information that I an
trying to find out .. My grandmas name is Adele ( TRUDELL ) LAVELLE
and her mother is Cora ( MITCHELL ) TRUDELL (bn. between 1894 & 1897
at Santee) The information I am looking for is about Cora MITCHELL.
Adele cousin told her that before she was born that Cora MITCHELL
had a son sometime between 1905 -1933 . As far as we know she had
only one child and that was Adele. What we are told is that she gave
birth to him in Knox County or around the Santee Reservation. What
we are also told is that this son was not the child of Cora's
husband ( Martin TRUDELL ) but by another man before she met my
great grandfather ( Martin ). This other man was from Virginia or
West Virginia and the census in 1910-1920 tell us that Cora was in
Virginia before she met Martin or had Adele. The son was given
immediately to him after Cora gave birth to him in Santee then
supposedly the father and son moved somewhere in Nebraska. We are
also told that this son came looking for Cora in the 1970 's of 80
's but she had already passed away. My grandma ( Adele ) is now in
her 70's and wants to find out this information if this is really
true or not because this really means a lot to her and also opens
the door so that we can find out about any family that we have out
there. Any help is appreciated.
