THE VACLAV DOBRICHOVSKY FAMILY

On April 14, 1841, Vaclav Dobrichovsky was born in Czechoslovakia. He married Marie Brtek in Czechoslovakia, daughter of Joseph and Rosalie Zak Brtek, granddaughter of Matej and Alzbeta Vesely Brtek.

Their seven children, who were born in Czechoslovakia, are: Mary who married Henry Krtel, Vac (Jim) who married Barbara Ruzicka, John married Josie Kovanda, Katie married Mike Hrbek, Annie who was a widow of August Wirth and later married Joseph Farnik, Rose who married Frank Tuch, Joseph who married Mary Jane Tuch.

Joseph was born April 5, 1880 and came to America when he was a baby. They lived in a log cabin in the Pischelville area, where they built a homestead. On March 27, 1907, he married Mary J. Tuch at Center, Nebraska, in a double wedding with Frank J. Tuch and Rosie Dobrichovsky (brother and sister married brother and sister). Mary was born July 4, 1887, to Frank Tuch and Marie Jiraskova Tuch. To this union seven children were born: twin daughters in December of 1907 who were stillborn; Walter A. Dobrichovsky born May 11, 1909; Charlotte Dobrichovsky (Mrs. Edward L. Pavlik) born April 17, 1911, now deceased; Frank H. Dobrichovsky born July 28, 1913; Evelyn Dobrichovsky (Mrs. Edward Hass) born September 21 1915, and Otto Leo Dobrichovsky, who was born May 20, 1921, and was killed in a farm accident June 21, 1935.

Frank H. Dobrichovsky and Florence McColley, who was born October 5, 1915, were married at O’Neill, Nebraska, on May 27, 1936. They have resided on the Dobrichovsky homestead all their married life. They have one daughter Sharon K. Dobrichovsky, who married Walter L. Boham April 17, 1958, at Neligh, Nebraska. They have two sons, Doug Boham born living, and Curt Boham born living. Doug married Kim Bond August 20, 1986. Walt and Sharon built their home on the Dobrichovsky homestead in 1961, keeping the farm in the family for over 100 years.
