JOHN AND ANNA [VYDRA] KOUNOVSKY

John Kounovsky was born May 7, 1828, in Sipi, County of Plzen, Bohemia. He attended school twelve years, farmed for eight years, and was in the Austrian Army for eight years.

John was united in marriage to Anna Vydra who was born in 1833 in Pavlikov near Crkovnik, and died in 1918. They emigrated to the United States in 1871.

Seven children were born to them. John F. (May 19, 1866 - June 28, 1913) was born in Sipi, county of Plzen, Bohemia. He married Anna Vesely October 10, 1891. Elizabeth married Vac Prokop, Mary became Mrs. Frank J. Chamberlain, Joseph wed Mary Janak, Albert chose Bessie Vesely for his wife and they had two children, Gus and Rose, who died at an early age.
