VAC AND DONNA [BERGER] MALY, JR.
Vac Maly, Jr., was born in 1918 in a log cabin on the Maly homestead
which is now occupied by the Mike Veselys. When Vac was seven years
old, his dad sold the Maly homestead to Pratras and they moved to
the farm where Elven Hamilton now lives. There were no buildings on
the land, so in 1924 Vac, Sr., built the barn and in 1928 he built
their home and other buildings. East of the house there was a
cottonwood grove. Vac got a saw mill and made all the lumber for
these buildings. He also owned a threshing machine by 1918 and for
many years he spent months threshing for all his neighbors.
