JOE A. AND EVELYN B. [PAVLIK] MASTALIR

Joe A. Mastalir, the son of Vaclav and Anastazie (Maly) Mastalir, was born May 29, 1904. He had eleven brothers and sisters: Mary, Emma, Julia, Edward, Emon, Vac, Stephen, Anna, Barbara, Elizabeth, and Helen. His grandparents, Joseph and Katerina Mastalir, settled the Verdigre area in 1872.

Farming was his life-long occupation. He passed away August 24, 1983.

Evelyn Pavlik, daughter of Frank B. and Antonia (Jiracek) Pavlik, was born July 29, 1905. The Pavlik generation began with great-grandparents, Matthew and Marie Pavlik, and grandparents, John and Mary (Dloughy) Pavlik.

Joe and Evelyn were married September 25, 1933. They are parents of two children, James and Marlene. James married Joan Jetensky on October 26, 1953. They are parents of four children: Tara, Mitchell, Marc, and Kimberlee. Marlene married Telford Grim on January 18, 1954, and they have three sons: Todd, Scott, and Daral.
