THE MC ELHOSE FAMILY

Earl Roy McElhose was born in Galesburg, Illinois, to George B. McElhose and wife Mary (Farmm) on April 21, 1879. As a child he came to Sioux City, Iowa, with his parents. He lived there until he was 18 years old and then came to Nebraska. Earl farmed in the Walnut and Winnetoon areas before moving to Creighton, Nebraska, where he was employed by Strobel Packing Company for several years. On August 21, 1901, he married Anna Emilie Augusta Boelter. She was born in Frankfort, Germany, on May 5, 1879. To this couple were born seven children: John, Violet, Walter, Gordon, Martha, and two girls who died in infancy.

Earl passed away on November 25, 1957, and Anna died March 3, 1964.
