L They had nine children, a baby boy died in infancy and the following: Ben, Irven, Roland, H. Ed, George, Elwood, David, and Kenneth. They lived in Wayne County near Hoskins until 1905 when they moved to a farm near Foster for one year. Henry Miller told of herding cattle all summer as a youngster on the Foster bottom land. In 1906 they settled in Section 22 of Walnut Grave Township, Knox County. In 1925 they moved to Witten, South Dakota. Minnie died January 5, 1946, and Henry died April 12, 1951.

Irven and Lillie Hines were married February 24, 1926, and lived here ten years, then on two other places before buying a farm one mile west of the Walnut Store in 1944.
