MARVIN AND HELEN [KRAL] PAESL
Marvin F. Paesl was born living, in Creighton, Nebraska,
to Anton and Annie (Scheinost) Paesl. He has lived in the Jelen
community all his life and attended Cottonwood Row School District
27.
In 1934 he enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corps and served
for 1 ½ years. In June of 1942 he was drafted into the army and
attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before he was discharged in
January, 1946. He served in the South Pacific area of the war.
Marvin returned to farming and married Helen Kral in 1951. He later
served terms on the school, election, and township boards in Bohemia
Township.
Helen (Kral) Paesl was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on living,
to Joseph and Elizabeth (Kves) Kral.
She came to Verdigre in October, 1949, to visit her aunt and uncle,
Frank and Emma Kves. She met Marvin here and they were united in
marriage on May 29, 1951.
They have five children: Mrs. Dale (Marilyn) Sukup, Joseph, Raymond,
Mrs. Neil (Patricia) Liska, and Mrs. Daral (Virginia) Grim. Marvin
and Helen are blessed with nine grandchildren.
After their marriage they moved to a farm seven miles west of
Verdigre where they currently reside.
