CHARLES B. AND EMMA [DUFEK] PAVELKA
Charles B. Pavelka was born to V. A. and Francisca Pavelka on
November 4, 1885. He married Emma Dufek on June 20, 1916. To this
union seven children were born: Clara, Clarence, Emily, Alvin,
Elmer, Marvin, and Helen.

Clara M. was born living, and married Delbert Darnell in
January of 1941. He was killed in France on January 17, 1945, during
World War II. Delbert was a son of George and Hester Darnell. Clara
married Alfred Fuchtman on February 4, 1947. The son of William and
Mary Fuchtman, Alfred served in the army and fought in the battle of
Normandy, Rhineland, and the Ardennes. He died June 30, 1985.
Clarence E. was born December 25, 1919, and served in the Asiatic
Pacific Theater, East Indies, Papua, New Guinea, and the southern
Philippines. He was discharged from the army as a Sergeant in August
of 1945. Clarence married Mary Ann Janovec on June 4, 1946. He died
September 13, 1974.
Emily A. was born living, and married Richard Bolin on
March 6, 1943. Richard died in 1982.
Alvin A. was born living. He married Janet Vonasek on June
26, 1956.
Elmer C. was born March 7, 1930, and married Donna Marshall on June
21, 1958. Elmer died August 11, 1984.
Marvin was born living, and served in the army for 17
months during the Korean War. He entered in March 1953 and took
basic training at Fort Riley, Kansa. He received his honorable
discharge in March of 1955. Marvin married Delores Slechta on April
7, 1959.
Helen was born living, and married Damian Arens on April 18,
1956.
Charles B. died January 31, 1965, and his wife Emma died May 22,
1956. They are buried in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery at Verdigre,
Nebraska.
