ERNEST S. AND TRACIE [FRISCH] RUZICKA
Ernest was born September 1, 1911, to Frank and Jane (Minarik)
Ruzicka on the Steele Creek farm three miles west of Pischelville.
It was here that he grew to manhood and enjoyed farming, hunting,
fishing, working with cattle, hogs, and many other animals with his
brothers: Edward, Otto, Henry, Gus, and Walter, and sister Teresie.
Ernest lived on the Steele Creek farm until 1956 when he moved to
their present residence ten miles west of Verdigre.
On October 6, 1948, Ernest was married to Tracie M. Frisch at
Center, Nebraska. Two sons were born, David A. and Ernest W.
David A. Ruzicka was born living, at Orchard, Nebraska.
David attended school at the Steele Creek Ruth School District 45,
then went on to Verdigre Public Schools to graduate. After
graduation, David attended Denver Automotive Institute. After a
period of a few months he entered the
U. S. .Army, took his training, and was sent to Vietnam for a year’s
duty. When he returned from Vietnam, David met his future wife,
Jeanine P. Wagman. They were married February 23, 1974, and to this
union two children were born: Ryan Allen on living, and
Michelle Lynn on Jliving.
Ernest W. Ruzicka was born living, at Orchard, Nebraska. He
attended school at the Ruth School District 45 and then went to Verdigre Public School to graduate. After graduation Ernest attended
the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture at Lincoln. After
his schooling, he returned home to marry Gloria J. White on December
11, 1971. They have two children: Jeremy W. on living, and
Julie J. on living.
Now retired from farming, Ernest and Tracie are living in a mobile
home on the home place ten miles west of Verdigre. David, Jeanine,
and family are now farming the land. Ernest W. is presently farming
at Sutherland, Nebraska.
