sisters, Evelyn and Irene, played in an orchestra by the name of
“Riverside Orchestra”. They entertained in many places.
In 1938 he was united in marriage to Helen Krugman of Opportunity,
Nebraska. They were the parents of two children, Archie and Sharon.
Helen was born near Creighton, but her parents later moved to Holt
County and lived on the “mule ranch.” She went to country school and

The two met at a picnic in Oak View Park.
While they were living on his parents’ farm for a number or years,
Archie and Sharon both went to the same school (District 64) their
dad had attended. They graduated from the eighth grade and entered
Verdigre Public School graduating from high school.
In 1957 Archie entered the navy. Since his father was not well Irvin
had a farm sale and moved to Verdigre. After recovering from
surgery, Irvin was school custodian and bus driver. He painted with
Dave Alder and then was a carpenter until he retied. He died March
29, 1986.
Archie is married to Jeannie and they are living in Juniata,
Nebraska, with their four children. Sharon is married to James Falk
