CHARLES AND MYRTLE [OBERLE] TEIPEL

On June 20, 1916, Myrtle Oberle, daughter of Nicholas and Lavina Oberle, was married to Charles Teipel who was born on October 11, 1884, at Olwein, Iowa, to Charles and Louise Teipel. He moved with his family to Plattsmouth, Nebraska, where he attended school. When he finished school, he worked for the railroad for a few years and then moved to a farm northeast of Verdigre where he and Myrtle raised two children, Verner and Helen.

In 1932 Mr. Teipel quit farming and moved to Verdigre where he worked for the Union Telephone Co. until he retired in 1959.
