THOMAS AND TERESIE [ZAVIS] TRSEK

Thomas and Teresie Zavis Trsek were pioneers who came here in 1893 from Bohemia.

Thomas, the son of Aldrich and Marie Lacek Trsek, was born November 13, 1865.

Teresie, the daughter of Joseph and Rozalie Vochoska Zavis, was born March 3, 1870.

On January 23, 1896, she was united in marriage to Thomas. They were engaged in farming three miles south of Verdigre for 14 years. In 1905 they moved to town where they made their home.

A native of Bohemia, Thomas came to this country when he was a young man, most of his life was spent around Verdigre.

They had two daughters, Mrs. Nick (Stella) Muller and Mrs. Adolph (Martha) Kotrous.
