DELORES DVORAK WANTLIN

I was born in Verdigre, Nebraska, on living, to Thomas and Martha (Houzvicka) Dvorak and lived on a farm northwest of Verdigre. I attended the Verdigre Public Schools from the first grade through the tenth grade. In May 1944 I left home to work for Gene and Euna Baber who owned Baber’s Café in Plainview, Nebraska. I lived with them for 2 ˝ years, working full time during the summers and part time during the school terms. After graduating in 1946, I moved o Norfolk, Nebraska, where I still reside.

I married Arthur W. Wantlin on July 13, 1950. We had two girls, Roberta, born living, and Gail, born living. I have been employed outside the home with the exception of August 1951 to September 1966. In September 1966, I started working for Edward D. Jones & Company, an investment firm where I am still employed.

My husband, Art, passed away in August 1983. My daughter, Roberta, is married to Eugene Richter and they have one daughter, Angela. They reside in Lakewood, Colorado. My daughter, Gail, is married Rick Gross and they reside in San Diego, California.
